Websites

The Brief.

Since its establishment in 1966 under the jurisdiction of the Sri lankan government, the ministry of youth and sports has been utilizing ample opportunities of using sports to contribute to the health of the younger generation by harnessing their talents to represent themselves and the country at regional and global sporting events.  We were given the opportunity to rework their current website to make it more informative and up-to-date.

02 Story &
Creative Direction

The website was reconstructed with a well-illustrated and immersive design concept, using professional visual elements to highlight the content and modest readability was integrated throughout the design process. By doing so, site visitors and sport enthusiasts can receive a clear and detailed view of Sri Lankan sports, which then improves the overall user experience of the website.

03 Engineering

It was important throughout the development phase that both Sri Lankans and international visitors could easily comprehend information about the ministry before interacting further with the website. Using WordPress as the content management system, we integrated the languages of English, Sinhala and Tamil.

Furthermore, vertical navigation was implemented to make the exploration of the website effortless. We also included the feature of a sports calendar, where site visitors and sport fanatics can view upcoming sporting events.
