The Brief.

The German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) commissioned the 'Vocational Training in Sri Lanka' project, which was implemented by GIZ, with the objective of strengthening the Technical and Vocational Education and Training Sector in Sri Lanka through demand-driven cooperative training. We were tasked with creating the official website for the national initiative in order to inform the public about it.

Our Solution

01 Strategy

The objective was to build an instructive website that informs the public about the project while showcasing its successes.

02 Story &
Creative Direction

Throughout the design phase, we integrated professional photography and visual components that express a competent yet welcoming ambiance to the audience. It was important for us to make sure that the design's appearance provided distinction and communicated the project's true purpose. White space was used well to make the site effortless to browse and to establish a well-balanced layout.

03 Engineering

An easy-to-follow navigation flow with smooth transitions between web components was built throughout the development of the website to keep it as simple as possible for users to navigate through it.
In order to reach a bigger audience, we also made the website mobile-friendly.
Additionally it was decided to incorporate the project's social media accounts as an add-on to the website so that visitors can constantly be aware of the project's efforts in vocational training.
